We had the Pingel Family Reunion August 7-10 at Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth National Forest. It was great to see everyone! We had a large group with 46 people at one point, missing 7 family members who could not be there. We missed them! It was raining the day we got there, so we set up our tent in the rain. What a great start! It rained off and on through Saturday. I was amazed at how cold the air got when the sun would go behind a cloud. We always had to take a sweatshirt with us! The temperature fell to the 30's at night. I think we took every blanket we own, but we stayed warm!Hali and Paige had a fun time sword fighting with their Uncle Scott!
We had a great time fishing out on the lake. We didn't catch anything, but the kids had a great time holding the poles and Carter became a pretty good little caster. 
When we came back from fishing, it was a little warmer and Scott's family was playing in the water. So the kids rolled up their pant legs and they played too. They loved having Briana and Nick cover their feet with sand!
On our way home, we stopped at the Yankee Fork Gold Dredge and walked through it. I could write about this for hours, but I will spare everyone the bordom. I absolutely loved this! It was so fascinating to see and learn how gold was mined. This is the front of the dredge. The rocks were scooped up in the black buckets behind the kids and dumped inside for sorting out the gold.

We drove up the road a little to Custer, an old mining town and enjoyed walking around there.
It was a great weekend and we are looking forward to the next reunion.

I love walking around old towns like that mining towns and just places that show their history. It is so cool. It was nice hanging out with everyone during the reunion.
That is pretty exciting do the teaching thing again. I just started a new job as well.
I am going to be a personal assistant for The owner of Life foods. They are a company that helps people with their fundraising, for clubs and schools and scoots and really any one. I think that it will turn out to be a great job considering that most of the work I can do at home.
